Official NJ DHSS Medical marijuana website online

A website has been produced by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services for the new medical marijuana program.

    The list of "debilitating" conditions at the site appears to have some errors. As far as I know, "pain" and "nausea" by themselves are not, in the legislation, qualifying conditions. I'm trying to follow up with DHSS to verify.

    Let us know what you find out. I noticed that too, however since DHSS was granted the ability to expand the list in the legislation (not reduce it however), it's possible they plan on use the senate's version of conditions which was slightly less restrictive, and frankly would make much more sense then the highly restrictive condition list that was delineated in the final bill.

    One negative aspect of the ATC's I noticed is that it would appear even for application the ATC will have to some how already have registered patients. Or perhaps I read that wrong and they just mean applicants for ATC's (eventually will have to provide this information - always expected) If not you end up in a bit of a chick and egg problem here. ATC's in theory can't apply till patients are approved and granted cards and then approach a potential ATC,further delaying any ability to have product ready to services those customers in need, this also makes it even more difficult for the atc to plan for demand, embedding roughly not only at least a 3 month delay in supply, but an ongoing delay in supply.

    I think I'll reach out to them about it as well.

    We were also confused on that. We can assume the obvious but with the state you can never do that. I think they will license the ATC but then you can't produce until you have a registered patient. This would be the smarter of the ideas but will delay a patients medicine for up to 3 months but the ATC should be able catch up once they have a good cycle going. Nothing is easy in the beginning. Hope to hear back on what you found out. Thanks for the excellent information and your dedication.

    I too am of the belief that the ATC will have to receive its license first, then furnish a patient list to the DHSS as it develops, because to be limited to producing the list of recipients prior to licensure is truly a chicken before the egg scenario . The ATC's will have to be given some leeway to produce an initial inventory, with the ability to expand production as demand grows, reporting all new MM card holders as they register with the with the state first then upon registering with a specific facility. Nothing else makes sense but as edris.stone said, the state does not have to make sense......I am eagerly awaiting the publication of more information......

    Does anyone know if there is a date that the state plans on establishing the program? Everything seems a bit vague from what I have read so far. I read the date of July 22nd on one page, but it were mere speculation by an unknown source. So if anyone know anything thing.

    I suffer from A degenerating spine. I have been on very strong pian medication for 10 years. Some of the medication thatI take is having severe effects on my liver. I hope that they do allow it for Chronic pain. I went to the NJDHSS( New Jersey Dept of Health and Senior Services, their website does list it there. I hope that it happens.

    I truly don't get it. What list are they talking about? I how does one find out if they have been put on the list. I am going to be 57 years old this July. I have had Crohn's Disease for about 50 of those years. I also have a side order of Spastic Colon, IBS, Gerd. Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In other words my body is trying to kill me! NO ONE will give me any sort of Narcotic Pain Management for the last 2 years. I have days where the pain is like labor pains. It can last for days, weeks, months, you get to a point you want to die just so you can stop the the pain!!! I'm a mother of a teenage son. This has been his whole life. Watching, and taking care of a sick mom. I deserve pain relief for his safety too. I know Crohn's is on the list. But am I on the list? Will I be alive to see this. What is wrong with these people?

    I am a Polio Survivor. I haven't seen Post Polio Syndrome (PPS) on the list of approved conditions. I'm certain the reason is the continually lowering number of people who have survived polio but it needs to be added.
    I have rotating joint pains, bad twitching of muscles, sudden body spasm's all of which are negated when I use cannibis. PPS is REAL and there are untold symptoms that DO comply with this bill.
    Somebody please stand up for us Polio Survivors.

    Official marijuana use im agreed to the people with terminal disease they need it to feel no pain at all .also the people with ED need to use Buy viagra use it and see the help.
